700 Series buffers contain multiple separate 70 Series buffers energy-absorbing capsules arranged end-to-end. They are typically used as buffer stops for either rail industrial or crane applications.

The buffers range in stroke from 800mm to 3000mm and are a popular choice for higher mass applications such as trains and larger cranes as well as being appropriate for higher impact velocities than other buffers.

They can be mounted on a fabrication or on a reinforced concrete block. These long stroke buffers of up to 1800kJ capacity are usually used in conjunction with a trolley interface in the rail industry, offering full compatibility and to protect them from damaging offset loads.
